A complete, and specially designed nSpec® is being used for ground breaking research in both neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine. This marks a significant expansion of Nanotronics Imaging's focus beyond the semiconductor markets it is currently engaged in.

Dr. Tomas Guilarte's Lab at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public health is currently using nSpec® for research on a variety of disorders including neurogenesis, and issues related to the onset of Alzheimer's disease. The nSpec® is a rapid tool which allows Dr. Guilarte and his researchers to look at larger areas of multiple slices of brain.
Also, An nSpec® will be used in the emerging field of regenerative medicine,in the leading lab dedicated to this effort: The McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at The University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Badylak, Deputy Director at the McGowan Institute said, "We would be delighted to give the nSpec® a home and make great use of it."
